Both Long term vision or Garuda drishti and short term vision or sarpa drishti is extremely important for an individual and an organization as well. Where short term vision is required for day to day activity but long term vision is essential for the succession planning. Which was present in Rama in the epic Ramayana but absent in Devabrata in the epic Mahabharata.
